| Immediate thoughts 22:25 - Nov 4 with 1048 views | Garv | Generally an exciting game with some quality football and a bit of needle. As usual first half we were very good. They scored a good goal that ruined it, good wing play - don't think you can do much about that one. People won't agree but the referee was, on the whole, superb. The only annoying thing was why I've never seen a referee let the game flow like that before. Yes, maybe the tackle on Furlong deserved a yellow but equally he made the most of it. He let a hell of a lot of our (potential) fouls go, so we can't be upset when he did the same for them. One gripe is that he didn't add on any extra seconds/minutes for the stoppages during stoppage time. I don't know what Azor and Philogene were arguing about, but I know whose side I'm on. Philogene very similar to usual, a home goal but little else. Held onto the ball too long too often and expected, naively, a free kick. Clarke also had the bug of dribbling into players for some reason when he came on. Nunez chance was harder than it looked, bouncing ball and not easy to keep them down, but he didn't have to welly it quite so much. Azon sadly isn't much of a finisher. Walle-Egeli looking good. More positives than negatives. Can't win every game, and it's not like 23/24 where any home game without a win is a disaster. | |

Because of this furlong should have left the ball player to azor and tracked the runner himself and cajuste just floated into our box to provide assistance in defending. I dont get your last point. Imo not winning to a team who've not won away yet when we have 4 away games ourselves coming up is a poor result.

No excuses really for Nunez to miss from there, same for Azon's first chance... either goes in and McKenna's played a blinder with his subs again.

I was thoroughly entertained and enjoyed tonight’s game, gutted we couldn’t get the win but I think supporters seem far more entitled this year and any game we don’t win is bordering on disaster
| Immediate thoughts on 22:38 - Nov 4 with 843 views | Smoresy | Nunez's finish needed some quality behind it if taking on the rise on his left foot, but he also had all the time in the world to make it easier for himself. Agreeish with most of your points though, interesting as it was to see McKenna warning / telling off Azor at the end. | | | |

I dont think there's been much negativity as such but im also shocked at the over excitement about the game that appears on here tonight.

Don't think it was Egeli not tracking the runner but more he missed out on trying to regain possession and then the guy was gone. A harsh lesson , but they still had plenty to do to score

Yes agree it’s that simple the annoying thing is that Hirst was average today but he scores that first Azon chance every time…

I'm very much the same boat on the exciting front It wasn't an exciting game, it never really had that moment where things lit up but I do see some learnings from the Charlton performance defensively, which might be one positive from tonight Both Azon and Akpom need a goal, that may just be the spark they need to let them out of their shells a bit Nunez too could do with an open play goal, just to calm himself down a bit
