100%. Some of the decisions made and being made, are absolutely ludicrous. No idea what's going on but something is absolutely wrong at the club. We should be walking the division this year with the resources we have and instead we're in a battle to even make the top 6 and that is on Kieran McKenna.

I don’t like the term ‘we should be walking the league’, sounds to arrogant for me.

What I would say is to be sat 13 points off the top spot after just 15 games, which ever way you look at it is really poor.

There is a serious lack of balance and cohesion, notably in the trio behind the number 9, without that being addressed we will continue to struggle - the problem being there doesn’t really look a combination for that trio that will work.

Burns - Chaplin - Clarke looks the most obvious, with Szmodics and Egeli as the supporting stars, but we won’t be able to be in that position until Janauary.

The truth is there isn't a huge gap between many of the sides in this league, you only have to look at the results week after week to see that, we lose three nil to Charlton then put 4 past both Swansea and QPR. luck and decisions play a big part, most sides cancel each other out purely on athleticism and physicality, throw in teams being organized and disciplined you can see why it's so hard to call results on games now, in all the divisions..

Inviting Chaplin back is a pretty big acceptance that the investments we have made are not working out. Cannot see McKenna doing it. Besides are we getting rosy-tinted about Chaplin, he had been a bit-part player for us for quite a while.

Yes but a PL parachute club should be above the middling crap in this division. Can’t believe we are so far off top tbh. He gives the lip service and people buy it but Ashton is scattergun in his recruitment. He needs help, hopefully the United guy we’ve brought in is far more clued up and across the game.

We may we get second if we can find any kind of cohesion and get the 10 figured out but it’s been a poor start to the season for me.

For the cash we’ve spent to be trotting out half of the WBA 2024 defense and having Hirst as the 9 is a bit random to me! Still plenty of quality in the squad though that should be head and shoulders above as individuals, so just hoping that’s enough.

We are above the middling crap in this division, though. We are 1 point off the play-offs with a game in hand while averaging 1.6 ppg. Of course, our aim should be to average 2 ppg which should see us in the top two. We are underachieving but to say we are among the middling crap is overstating how much we are underperforming.

Idiotic comments,

Not sure which one is more pathetic

"something is absolutely wrong at the club"
"We should be walking this league"

Are you 12 ?

It’s completely bunched as usual but we have no separation in either direction as the current position suggests.

I would not be surprised if end up battling with the teams around us for months on end or if we start to position ourselves as a challenger to second promotion spot, hopefully the latter.

Interestingly we haven’t really played many teams above us yet either, so let’s see how the two December Cov games go as well.
