A comfortable win but frustrating 21:40 - Dec 10 with 592 viewsbournemouthblue

because we never really went for the kill, we should have burried them there

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I can see why they've dropped off after watching that. They had so little going forward and very little composure. I spent the entire second half waiting for the whistle to confirm the 1-0 win.

Couple of very good last ditch blocks from them to be fair, with the Cajuste and Akpom chances. Pleased with how we saw it out though. Other than the corner we looked like the team needing a goal for the last 10 minutes.

I think we did. Stoke are a good very good defensive team. Cant win 3-0 every week

That's basically how Burnley got promoted though. Going for the kill could have opened the game up and let them pump balls into the box, we still got in behind a few times and had a few decent enough openings to finish them off.

Not exciting but decent game management for me, job done in a grind of a schedule.

There’s a reason they’ve conceded the least goals in the Championship

You might have had a point after first half but that was a pretty masterful performance. Got it bang on second half. With game after game and no rest that is exactly the way to do it. You start going for it when you don't need to and you play into their hands and Charlton stuff happens. They didn't have a shot in the second half when they were chasing it. That's outstanding.

That said, they do leave some big holes at times

You can see why they have shipped more goals recently, they play a system designed for possession and look pretty dangerous down the wings but don't seem to have a lot through the middle

They must be a frustrating side to watch, they look great at times but make poor decisions in dangerous positions

I thought it was good to see us show a slightly different side. Thought we controlled the game really well. Stoke moved the ball nicely but we didn't let them create any clear chances really bar Walton's save first half.

I felt it was a good team performance too. We looked very organised.

We created some brilliant chances. We just don't put them away! But think of it this way - is this is what it's like after KM working with them for three months, just imagine what it's going to be like with a little bit more time.
