....but especially those of you missing your nearest and dearest. Had a little cry this morning when Junior (who is down to only one grandparent now gave us a framed picture of our recently departed dog. Try to find some good memories to focus on and enjoy the day as best you can.

A Merry Christmas to you too. When you lose someone or a pet it hits hard. I am 75 and thankful every day that I am still here. Can't say I am 100% but nonetheless grateful. Over the years I have lost many of my relatives. Mum died at just 50 years of age and Dad died back in 2009 at 86. I have lost a lot of former work colleagues of varying ages and it really does bring it home how fortunate I am. I hope everyone on this forum enjoys a very Happy Christmas and New Year and Good health to all and your families. I know we don't always see eye to eye with our opinions on things, whether that's an age thing or whatever it matters not as long as we can put it to one side and get on afterwards. Life is too short to bear grudges.

Merry Christmas Carol and to your family. It’s a beautiful morning. Poignant words my friend. Lancelot x
Can't beat cold and clear blue skies for Christmas day, well some snow would be nice I suppose! We took in a Christmas Eve murmuration from Dunwich Heath and off to watch a raging sea on an Easterly gale later. I could get used to not working! Kisses, Carol.

Miss Slave lost both parents in the build up to Christmas over the years and I know it is the same for many others too.

Lovely 👍. Enjoy. Lancelot x
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.
