If Morsy and Wolfy end the season in the premier league there won’t be a server or data center big enough to keep TWTD from crashing.

Makes me sad. There is Literally no connection with this team and the fans, bunch of over paid individuals. Those two back to back seasons feel Like they never happened. I just hope McKenna can grab a few good additions in January and pull It All Together, because something is seriously missing with this team.

Wolfy has hardly had much to do with any of Coventrys success. Probably played less than if he had stayed here and kept quiet.

Nice of you to decide how all fans feel. All you can really say is there is no connection for you with this team.

Some elements of the fanbase really need to stop looking to the past, it's really not helping things.

It’s just my observations, and from the fans I speak too, but your correct I can’t speak for everyone, there’s no harm in looking to the past though is there? what should we do? Erase everything prior to today from our memories?

One of my hero's, but in football terms the PL was one level too much for him at his age.
We wanted him to stay, but he wanted longer deal, as a mark of respect to let him go abroad without asking for a fee. For whatever reason he failed in that league and now he has gone to BC.
A Championship level player for a Championship level team.

Good luck Sam, but I didn't want you back, you're the past not the future.

Woolfenden would've barely been on the bench if he had stayed here. He's at least been in the matchday squad at Coventry, and praised for his last two performances.

You can tell him that when he’s picking up his winner’s medal and promotion bonus.

Nobody has said that, we should look back fondly on the memories.

I don't however think we should look back and use that to constantly undermine the current squad which is what I feel is happening more and more.

He has gone, get over it. Wasn’t good enough. Isn’t good enough for Coventry either.

I wouldn't see either getting much game time though. They would probably need to move on again..

Just because that's how you feel, doesn't mean every fan feels that way too. I would say you're in the minority if you feel a connection with this team.

It's hard not to look to the past when we experienced what we're hoping to achieve only 2 years ago. And with a team that on paper, weren't as 'good' as our current squad.

The connection with that team was made because of promotion. It didnt happend immediately. And most certainly not within the first 6 months.

The problem isn't that people cant connect with players. Its that they cant forget those who moved on. Look at oshea. One of the best cbs in the league. But hes bot wolfy. Azor one of the best cms in the league this season at his role. Hes not morsy. Philogene 8 home goals. 7 wonder goals. Hes not broady.

If come April we are sitting 2nd I reckon everyone suddenly feels a connection.

And looking to the past isn't helping in my opinion. The context isn't the same, the scenarios aren't the same and continually putting the current team down because they aren't that team isn't helping anyone in my view.

Carry on though if you think it's helpful.

There's no doubting that promotion winning team exceeded expectations, so appreciated what they did more. This team of players expect to get promoted, so they will likely show less emotion when we have routine victories.

It's like someone said in another thread, there aren't many players in this squad with leadership qualities. Philogene, Clarke, Egeli, Cajuste to name a few don't seem very vocal on the pitch.

Pretty harsh on Egeli there with regards to not being vocal enough. He's a young player moving to another country. Not many 19 years olds playing at this level are that vocal I would wager, it's something that I think will come with time.

That doesn't stop fans from referring back to that team, though. I'm sure you can appreciate that fans are going to be looking back to that season and expecting more from this current squad considering we signed the top scorer, one of the best defenders, and one of the best left wingers in the league that season.

Yet none of those 3 are in our supposed best starting XI.

This team has beaten Norwich. The other team didn’t.

But i think the point we all need to recognise is the old team isn’t here anymore. Looking back fondly is fine, but we also need to look forward. Otherwise we’d still be begging Warky to put his boots on again.
