Let's be Frank. 18:38 - Dec 30 with 1634 views

I have no problems with Coventry and wish them well. But do they have a problem with their own manager ? Apparently both Saints and Coventry being looked at due to not controlling their players at the end of the 1-1 draw. But having watched the video Frank Lampard was seriously involved in the melee basically confronting one or two of the Saints players and when interviewed said he had calmed down, but you could see he was still seething over something.
What a contrast to our manager who although may have been on the wrong end of a few dubious refereeing decisions manages to put them in perspective and makes his opinion known without blowing a gasket.
Perhaps it's because Frank is under, or feels much more under pressure as he's not used to being in the position Coventry are in and despite a healthy lead that can soon be eroded with a run of bad results.

Might be wrong or have seen a reduced clip but the Southampton thing looked like Lampard giving it large to Cov fans as they held out and Southampton players not liking it?

He was obviously a bit p*ssed off last night and as someone else said I didn't see him shake hands with Kieran. He's also harped on about parachute payments. Yeah, we get it. But we were in the same position when we got promotion to the Premier League fighting off three other teams with payments.
Whether that's fair or not I suppose depends on whether you are getting them or not.
All I know is we wouldn't have gone into administration under George Burley if they had been around then.
Football is a different animal to anything else because if your business is doing well you pay staff more and if it's doing badly then you have to cut back. But with these contracts they only seem to go up and never down.

Call me old fashioned but I don’t see anything wrong with a bit of passion and needle from a manager, provided it doesn’t cross a line of course. Not sure Lampard did a lot wrong, he didn’t start a melee single handedly.

I don’t mind Lampard, hell of a player and hasn’t made a bad fist of management so far to be fair to him. Generally speaks pretty openly and honestly in his interviews, I’d rather that than some boring emotionless robot. Does seem to have quite a thin skin like his uncle ‘Arry though.

Just to say it's nothing personal with me either. Frank was an excellent player. Pressure sometimes gets to some more than others. I can't think why Saints fans would be abusive to Frank, maybe their season is getting to them ?

I really don't like Lampard and his saltiness but I do think he was unwell yesterday. I think that contributed to him sitting down disinterested for most of the second half and may explain why he was so keen to get away at the end as well.

That said, it doesn't bode well for his team if he sits there resigned to their fate without any desire to motivate his team to attempt to turn it around.
