If we signed that Lankshear lad 19:48 - Jan 1 with 1208 viewsKeno

Would he count towards the 25 man squad or would be be deemed a young player (or whatever the phrase is)

Talking of young players. This doesn’t look right.

He is 20, so I think if we signed him permanently from Tottenham he would not count in the 25, but if we signed him on loan he would.

Signed, he wouldn’t count. Loaned and he would count towards the 25

Doubt Spurs would want to sell him, assuming they could recall him from Oxford.

One good thing about being a Cat1 academy is we get a chance to see such talent close up. You would assume Lankshear is just the sort of talent we are looking for.

I didn't think Spurs would sell Johnson after the excellent season he had last year - but it seems he is moving to Palace.
So its possible Spurs might sell for the right money.

The easy way around it would to include some form of buy-back option.

He certainly had some very good moments against us this season. Would be interesting to see if we could do a deal for him. Under the radar, but might be a useful addition to the squad.
