West Ham. lol. 17:15 - Jan 3 with 3842 viewsITFC_Forever

They are an utter shambles of a club.

A shadow of the club they were at Upton Park. I didn’t like them then either, but they were a proper club.
Now they’re a hulled out husk of a club, who have sold out everything positive they had.

They can sack Moyes, Nuno and whoever the next mug is all they like, but everyone knows the problem isn’t the manager.

I'm sorry, but how the actual F- did they beat us twice last season?!

simple really, we were miles off being set up to play in the premier league.

This is unfortunately the correct answer,we went up to quickly,it’s that simple.

Like relegation is never the correct option, there isn’t a right time to get promoted. You can’t go up too quickly or get relegated at the right time. KM and the players were good enough to finish in the top two and so we went up.

We went down simply because the tactics and players weren’t good enough - no shame in that at all.

Hopefully when, or if we go up this season, things will work out better after that.

I didn’t say there was in shame in it and you basically said the same.

Yeah you did a top two finish means you go up,great stuff etc.

You might be ace in the Championship, but that doesn’t guarantee you will be ace in the Premier.

Town weren’t ready for the Premier.

The End.

A West Ham supporting friend of mine told me before last night's game that West Ham aren't as good as their run of no wins in 9 games would suggest.

I've several friends who are West Ham supporters, all decent people. However their fans at town games against them I've been to have been idiots.

We were ready for the PL and we proved that by finishing in the top two. Relegation is a totally different issue from not being ready.

The end (whatever that means).

Couldn't happen to a nicer fan base.

One of my friends is West Ham, to be fair to him he doesn't enjoy going to games because of the amount of tw@ts supporting them.

The whole stadium agreement is a joke as well, sold their soul to property developers and rented an athletics track funded by tax payers. Nothing club, I hope they go down and don't come back for years.

Surprised the fans haven’t protested more against Sullivan. Should be ripping seats out of that godawful stadium.

accidental downvote, sorry

Great to see. I personally dislike West Ham more than any other team. This is from experiences of following Ipswich Town for 46 years. Horrible club.

No one has a divine right to be in the Premiership, but the bleating Spanner’s fans on Talk Sport this morning was laughable. Maybe in the minority but I love being in the Championship, might not see the quality players every week and don’t go home annoyed because we have lost again.

The best way to become ready for something is to be exposed to it. And exposure to all that money sloshing around up there, that's what has allowed up to build the squad we have now, which is the envy of most in this division.

Hopefully these were the hard but necessary yards Benters, if becoming Premier ready is a hope of yours of course.

Its like having a baby, I don't think you can ever be totally ready but some are perhaps more ready than others, and having not had one for 20+ years probably doesn't help. If you've had one 2 years before you're probably used to the lack of sleep, the pram is up in the loft and you've got some clothes and toys in bags. Our problem after 20 years away was we had so much to get ready in a short space of time. Hopefully the 2nd child is less of a disappointment.

Very bleak end to my terrible analogy there, apologies.

they were a fine team in the 70's, but that is 50 years ago now. 50 years of mainly dross since then.

They weren’t that good in the 1970s. One or two decent seasons around the time of their FA Cup win but most years they stank Division 1 out and were languishing in Division 2 from 78/79 for a few years. Looking at 11v11, our record was won 8, Drawn 5, Lost 5.

Moore, Hurst and Peters were history by about 73. Devonshire was a nice player, Billy Bonds excellent and Trevor Brooking absolute class. Can’t think of anyone else up to much.

And but for a complete tool of a ref and our fixture congestion/injuries they’d not have won the FA Cup in 75 either.

In fact they were mostly cr@p. Their ground was cr@p, the area….. cr@p, supporters - the dregs.
