| A fun day out at Spurs v Sunderland in the end 20:48 - Jan 4 with 2270 views | TresBonne | Had to pull off the M25 and assess our options in a Tesco car park near Cobham when we found out the news the game was off. Decided we weren't just going to turn around and go home and we'd like to still go to a game. Weighed up our options of games an hour (ish) away and had the choices of: Spurs v Sunderland Fulham v Liverpool Reading v Stockport Wycombe v Wimbledon Millwall v Swansea Tickets to the first two, expensive, but would be a good day out. The others - cheaper, but felt 'for the sake of it'. After some umming and arghing, we decided to just put them all on a wheel and do a 'last man standing' until we had a game to go to. Ended up being between Spurs v Sunderland and Reading v Stockport. Lucky for us, it landed on the Spurs game (with Reading Stockport eventually finishing 0-0!). Managed a pair of tickets at 90 quid each, not cheap considering Pompey fuel/tickets etc had already been bought but whatever. Draw a fair result in the end with neither team outstanding but Sunderland working harder and looking the more likely to nick it as time went on. The joys of being a football fan sometimes. | | | | |

| A fun day out at Spurs v Sunderland in the end on 21:49 - Jan 4 with 1951 views | ITFC_Forever | Ha. We got as far as Petersfield, less than 20 miles from Portsmouth by 11am and the news filtering through it was off. So we set sail for Barnet v Crewe, which me and one of the two passengers in my car needed towards re-completing the 92 (we’re both on 90). Got part of the way up the A3 and heard that was off, just as we had tickets in the basket on/line. Instead headed to Stevenage v Leyton Orient, a ground the third person in our car needed. That too went. Plan D was Cambridge v Grimsby, but that had already gone. Plan E was Fulham v Liverpool but tickets in the new stand by the river were £162. Plan F was Norwich v Stoke, but none of us could bring ourselves to give them our money. Back in Ipswich by 2pm and saw two of the coaches on the way back to PR as I returned from dropping a mate off near Valley Road. [Post edited 4 Jan 21:50]

That sounds like a comedy sketch! At least you put some miles into the car. :)

Is there a reason so many people seemed to leave so early today? I thought leaving Ipswich at 9 was early initially.

Maybe because of the weather!! 😬😆 (Sorry, couldn’t resist) … We left Stow at 10, got to South Mimms before the about-turn!

We left early as one of our number’s nephew lives in Pompey, so we were going to pick him up and go for lunch. They don’t get to see each other that often, so he asked if we could leave early…. Left Ipswich at 8.30.

Coz I’m a pisshead and wanted more time in the pub. Not that I have to explain that to you. 🙄
| A fun day out at Spurs v Sunderland in the end on 11:04 - Jan 5 with 884 views | LeBlue | Fortunately for me, my 11.00 train from Reading was cancelled and whilst I was waiting for the next one, the game got postponed which meant I could get my train ticket refunded. Unfortunately for me, I decided on the Reading v Stockport option. What a dire game and, my god, that stadium is soulless. Even when PR is at its quietest, it is a cauldron compared to that! | | | |

I am not a post man nor a YouTube vlogger for the record although I understand there might have been a couple ITFC versions of those there too.
