Because by your own example if he failed at United he’d end up in the same place as if he succeeds at Ipswich

What about if he succeeds there, as opposed to he ends up failing to get us back up here?

Because he won't be in a position of serial winner such as Mourinho, so he will get one crack of it at the top end/big clubs, he can't afford to take the opportunity where time won't be granted.

Moyes is the perfect example, time and stability at Everton and all built around him and his philosophy, goes to United and gets 18 months and can only get a sniff at bottom end premier league jobs now.

If McKenna wants to be among the elite clubs, he can't get it wrong first time around, and Man United will almost be the right man at the wrong time as everything behind the scenes is a uncoordinated shambles

£10M payoff according to some sports journos. His 14 months has cost them £27M. Just nuts. Sitting 3 points off 4th with half a season to go, but the management group are so thin-skinned they can’t handle a manager who wants to be more hands-on with the footballing decisions and recruitment.

Meanwhile they’re scrapping concession ticket prices, scrapping bonuses for staff paid barely above the minimum wage, making 200+ redundant, etc.

It’s a gross club these days.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

So if McKenna goes there he has to take Ashton with him to sort it all out. Feck.
