He didn't even know until he saw the video after the game, did he!
His teammates might have said something to him during the rest of the game, but 100% he would have thought they were winding him up, or that it wasn't as absolutely simple for him to get to it and clear it as it was.

I was a bit confused when this was … with too much time on my hands obviously.. turns out it was 2018 .. and that Macclesfield team no longer exists .. of course the phoenix thankfully and happily came back as we all know. Coincidentally the fixture is repeated tomorrow in the FA trophy
