He's being sued over using third parties to gamble on his behalf.

The Guardian lawyers have clearly been busy here....

Going slightly off topic, but it’s noticeable that ‘Posh George’ is involved again. Dodgy as fook (convicted launderer of drug money) and personal funder of Farage, including payments last year that Farage ‘inadvertently’ forgot to disclose.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

It sounds like you’re talking about the think tank Labour Together, which failed to declare donations between 2017-2021. Which is obviously not good either.

Shouldn't we be viewing all Parties the same. Let's face it, for as long as I can remember they will all promise the earth and then do exactly what they want.
Normally to survive their term and make sure there's a nice little earner on the horizon after they get booted out,
Depressing isn't it ? The UK has been on a downward spiral for years with no real plan for growth,
Decimated industries, overtaxed workers and too many not working or getting such low wages that they don't pay tax and claim benefits as well.
Projects such as HS2 that are way behind schedule and will cost many times more than the millions first quoted.
Why do we never seem to get anything done on time and within budget,
We badly need a political Party that can pull the UK up by it's boot laces. One that lays it's cards on the table and states "This is what will happen". No U turns and a fairness that currently isn't there.

More a case that he’s been sued by one of the third parties. They say he owes them a share of the profits, he says he’s paid them. Interesting to see if it stops with this civil case or unravels further.

Value betting. Stats based, taking odds greater than the actual chance of something happening.

It can be done but it's very difficult. That's why he needs accounts from other people because if you win money or even 'take value' from a bookie for a short period they will restrict you.

I am restricted to £0 with William Hill, Bet365, 888Sport, Planetbetsport and quite a few more. Most others to pennies.

Truly impaired.

Unfortunately will never happen.

When in opposition it is easy to criticise and put forward ideas. However, once in government the excuses flow easily that or this reason means those very opposition ideas are no longer possible.

As for getting things done on time and in budget, please don't make me laugh. This country is and has been on its knees for years.

Yea but they soon get restricted as well. Bookies are incredibly paranoid these days. They are asking for ever more intrusive documentation. It's not uncommon now for them to ask for a selfie holding your photo ID up next to your face which has to be taken outside of your address.

They are also extremely trigger happy with restrictions. They should be forced to take a minimum bet of £20 from any customer. Instead they are allowed to pick and choose which customers to accept. It's an incredible business model. Restrict or ban anyone who shows any sign at all of being able to make a profit. Then target the people betting on accas, low odds bets and wasting money on the casino section.

Denise Coates, CEO of Bet365, got paid £280m in 2025.

Apparently the M25 / A3 junction work was completed on time and on budget (according to a Times headline - but it is behind a paywall so cant provide detail) - so maybe doing things to plan is not completely impossible, albeit it is remarkable for that fact, which is an indictment.

But as for the sentiment re the government, and the sort of people that end up in government and their desire to actually get anything done, it is hard not to be cynical given the results of their efforts

Explains why I've never faced such issues from a bookie and they regularly target me to come back and lose more.
