| Monster Raving Looney Party on 11:04 - Jan 27 with 500 views | farkenhell | True story - I remember when the Liberal party formed an alliance with the Social Democratic party and became the Social Democrat/Liberal Alliance to much fanfare at the time (they later merged into a single Lib Dems party). Not to be outdone, the Monster Raving Loony party proudly announced its own alliance with the Green Chicken party and, for a short while, they stood together as the Monster Raving Loony/Green Chicken Alliance. Until they fell out. | | | |

His usual guitarist in the early days being one Richie Blackmore. Wonder what happened to him? Sadly, I never saw him play.

That sounds a lot more sensible than some of our more mainstream parties. Didn't Lord Buckethead stand under the MRLP banner? A few of his good ones: Shepard's pies required to contain at least 10% shepard Giving money to the Royal Astronomical Society to rename Uranus to something less embarrassing Isaac Newton's laws of gravity to be negotiated

Yes, sadly I never saw Screaming Lord Sutch or the more mainstream Deep Purple and Rainbow perform but Blackmore's guitar roadie, Dave, fetched up on Skye a few years back. The tales he had, including being with Blackmore on arrival at Moscow airport some years ago and State TV seeking an interview which the temperamental guitarist wasn't going to give so Dave had to address the millions of the Russian state.
