| Filing s/a tax return challenge 10:19 - Feb 1 with 699 views | Ryorry | Anyone shave it later than 23.51 on 31/01?! 😂 I was 6 minutes late with payment tho owing to fat fingers on the banking app - fingers crossed they don’t charge me for that … (I’d have been stuffed if the broadband had been acting up, so not something I’m recommending - just hadn’t had time to do it earlier with a lot of unexpected other stuff turning up). | |

| Filing s/a tax return challenge on 10:52 - Feb 1 with 589 views | Hugoagogo_Reborn | Left mine until 27th Jan to pay this year. That's the latest I've done it. In the unlikely event they penalised you, I'd be writing a letter to explain computer issues. We got a £200 fine reversed for late partnership filing. I had sent it in time, they maintained they hadn't received it. I complained by letter, including a photocopy of the original and (even though I had lost the proof of postage certificate) they still reversed the fine. | |

| Filing s/a tax return challenge on 11:00 - Feb 1 with 570 views | Swansea_Blue | 27th. An annoyingly large bill this year, but hopefully that’s the last for a while now I’m a househusband lol. It’s very easy to do. I know government IT procurement always gets hammered, but things like self assessment, car tax, etc., are pretty streamlined and intuitive systems. | |

I guess you neither tried declaring SORN on the 31st and transferring ownership/tax liability on the 1st of the month!

I had similar with a 1-day late MOT once. Yeah, that caused issues. Computer says no.

Robbing b@stards, I mean how could they possibly design a system that pays back/charges fractions of a month's car tax!
