Left mine until 27th Jan to pay this year. That's the latest I've done it.
In the unlikely event they penalised you, I'd be writing a letter to explain computer issues.
We got a £200 fine reversed for late partnership filing. I had sent it in time, they maintained they hadn't received it. I complained by letter, including a photocopy of the original and (even though I had lost the proof of postage certificate) they still reversed the fine. |  |

It’s very easy to do. I know government IT procurement always gets hammered, but things like self assessment, car tax, etc., are pretty streamlined and intuitive systems. |  |

I guess you neither tried declaring SORN on the 31st and transferring ownership/tax liability on the 1st of the month! |  |
