Hull getting shot of him after taking a punt in the summer.

A bullet dodged (not that we were in for him, but some posters thought he might be worth a gamble). Seems like a waste of talent.

That was the match when I thought he’d arrived. And then that was that.

He's only played 5 minutes for Hull all season.

Only been in the squad 6 times all season too.

Hull manager stated that Williams has been struggling for fitness and has not been at the required level for the championship.

Such a shame and a waste of talent the way it's all panned out. Hopefully he can still do a job at a lower level.

Big bucks football. Let's hope he saved or invested some of the big wages he had. More likely it went to some people who "helped him" with his career. Maybe ex footballers and the PFA should give him a bit of guidance and help.

I was one of those up for taking a shot on him - totally aware it might not pay off as is the case with his time at Hull. What a shame and a waste of a talent. Maybe it would have been different with McKenna? Who knows.

We struggled with him as well. I suspect it wouldn’t have been much different this season. One minute he was making strides and the next it started going wrong again. He seems to have problems staying focused on what’s needed. It’s a shame as you could see the player he could have been. I’d much prefer a positive attacking fullback like him than the safety first approach Furlong gives us (not that Furlong isn’t a good player).

He'll be back, albeit not here, nor in the Championship for now.

A Championship move, considering all the time he had off, was always going to be a risky one for him, but it was a case of needs must with Hull unable to pay fees.
It looked like a good move for all parties, but all ended up in the chicken and egg syndrome, not fit enough to get minutes, but not getting enough minutes to get fit.

Can see him ending up somewhere like Oldham or Chesterfield and then ending up as a signing for someone like Pompey.

Loads of talent, I just hope this setback doesn't push him back into the arms of the kinds of people he's only recently managed to get away from.
