The bigger picture being we play with 1 striker, and already have 3 strikers in the squad who are all good enough at this level to get us up.
they've currently not been, they've been good enough to see us into 4th. and id suggest 2/3rds of the season is a fair chunk to assess them on, personally.

Our form since Azon and Akpom were with us would have us 2nd.

I was hoping for another 12million right winger, actually!
We've been very poor down the right this season from an attacking point of view, and we can't be sure how long Wes Burns will hold up, so when it became clear that we wouldn't be getting a striker, maybe it was thought that a top-notch right winger might help our promotion push.

Close to 50million spent there and we’re still relying on 500k Burns signed from Fleetwood. There just might be a cautionary tale in there.

How many goes do we need to find one that is top notch?
Surely someone in the recruitment team is almost firing themselves by going after third in 6-7 months at that price.
When you think of our first 11 and 60/70 min replacements now, it’s pretty impressive, particularly if Hirst starts to find some form which he hopefully will at some point (still think he’s our best starter at home - we all know there’s a player in there).
Walton Furlong O’Shea Kipre Davis
Azor Neil (Cajuste for the last 20)
Jaden / Jack Nunez / Mehmeti Wes / Egeli or McAteer
