I feel sorry for the people who spent money and time on the away trip.
But I’m not angry at McKenna or the club or tonight’s players.
I’m not angry about this particular game.
However to be clear
I am very angry at the people who run football. And that the game for the people has been turned into a way for the wealthiest to continue the financialisation of everything.
I’m angry at the selfishness that sees being the richest club as more important than the broader level of competition.
That’s the context in which cup games become denigrated.
I think the anger should maybe be directed that way rather than inwards at ourselves. |

We got to the holy grail last year and it was shite. Give me an FA cup win over 3 years of finishing 14, 16, and 15 in Premiership anyday. Record attendance for nearly every English club is an FA Cup game. The FA cup matters to fans but not clubs. |
Not for me I'm afraid, and I'm one of the fortunates who was around over a decade before we did actually win it and I was there to see it. I'd much rather watch some of the worlds top players on a weekly basis than the sort of stuff I watched tonight. Even if it does make for some painful viewing sometimes! |  | | |

So those that went (hats off to them btw) expected to see the first team? Did you expect that? Them all busting a gut maybe picking up an injury or two for a competition that we can’t get close to in the face of a fixture pile up? All because the away supporters spent their money going?
Precisely what did you expect McKenna to say? Maybe troop out in hair shirt and beg forgiveness? Perhaps do a Cook rage and reintroduce the bomb squad? I’m trying to make sense of your logic.
Did our supporters deserve better? The ones that don’t hurl abuse at the players certainly did but it’s called sport, not entitlement. It doesn’t always work out as an arrogant American skater found out tonight in the Olympics |
as mentioned in the other post, i didnt expect to see the first team. i expect to see a performance with pride, and some quality from professionals playing in a team operating miles above wrexham in terms of wages etc
i didnt see anyone hurling abuse at players tonight, what i did see what a look of sadness and/or annoyance that we'd played that poorly.

There are those of us who have always gone to watch the Town whatever the level we are playing at and want to see the team do their best and for many of us much of last season was painful viewing. We took no enjoyment from watching the "world's top players". We didn't buy the half-and-half scarves that the tourists did |  |

Sorry if that is the case, what about all the fans travelling to the game to expect some form of a performance.
Along with giving players game time and a chance for us to attempt to play in Wembley?
