But we didn't see that. We saw the very opposite. I'm afraid both O'Shea and McKenna were caught short today. There should be nowhere to hide come the end of the season. If McKenna has failed in his primary aims, he should be sacked. Hopefully he would walk - perhaps straight into the Palace job. But surely they would look at his performance this year as not good enough if he does fail. He did himself no favours today and neither did his captain. |  | | |

Personally I prefer us to take the game to teams when we've just scored, we don't do it anywhere enough this season and let teams back in.
However, mistakes cost us today, including some horrific passes when we had things under control at various points. | |

Exactly that. We were looking confident and all over them. Their crowd to my left completely quieted.
Then we lost heads after the equaliser. We really needed to calm down before they scored it. We started to try to force things. | | | |

We did do this in 2023/24, which left our defence exposed more than once. Factually, it's correct our defence is better this year but, for the most part, they are offered more protection from our slow play. | |

Agree we should keep attaching in those situations but just with a bit of nous. We overcommit at points. | | | |
