If I can just theologically parse what is going on here:
Many American Evangelicals have subscribed to a belief that Trump was "delivered by God" (that is, saved) from the assassination attempt that injured his ear. They believe that Trump is God's anointed and chosen Leader for America.
If that isn't scary enough, the English "anointed, chosen one" are the best translation of the Hebrew (Old Testament language) word "Messiah", and of the Koine Greek (New Testament language) word "Christ".
So they don't believe that he IS God, just that he is God's anointed, chosen Messiah to restore America.
