Stats can be misleading if you don't delve into them. We had 9 on target, but 6 were blocked.

We played well second half and put them under the most pressure I'd seen us do for a while so I am not going to be overly critical to be honest. It was a lot better than the second half against Preston but when you think 2 goals would have won us both those games, sometimes we need to find a bit more in the box IMO.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Won't disagree with that at all - our 'missed big chances' record has told a story all season.

There's a little misfortune mixed in there too, where some part of a defender's or the 'keeper's body has just happened to get in the way of the ball on more than one occasion, and the rebounded away to safety.

Yes Saturday did seem the kind of afternoon where if you play that second half 10 times, you win the game probably 8 of them! The way Boro's first went in yesterday compared to our pinball in the box Saturday kind of summed it up!

I’m looking at it in two game blocks:

Us: Stoke away and Sheff Weds away

Boro: Charlton home and Bristol City home

Milwall: Derby home and Blackburn home

You’d expect all three teams to take 6 points from this though maybe Derby can cause Wall some problems.

Wouldnt be shocked to see Boro struggle in both of those home games. Charlton are low blocky and Bristol City are a big bogey team for them.

As for Mill I always feel they have a loss on them, Derby always a tricky opponent and maybe Blackburn will smash and grab 3 pts.

You really think we’ll beat `Stoke away?!

Wednesday, clearly we will.
