Right, time for the players to get on with it 07:51 - Mar 14 with 661 viewsSteve_M

Play on the front foot from the start, don’t be feeling too sorry for ourselves, and get the win today. Preferably with no more suspensions.

The fans can help too, loud positive support throughout. I’m annoyed I committed to something else today as want to be there so I’ll have to ask others to show support for me.

We need to use this week as motivation. We've had a lot go against us but Boro slipping up means it's all still in our hands. We need to realise that nobody is going to be doing us any favours this season and take games by the scruff of the neck. If we can get a bit of fire in our belly and develop the ruthless streak we've been lacking all season it might just get us over the line.

Putting in 90 minutes would be a big help. Not just a good second half. Can’t afford another slow start.

Like you say, be ruthless. Don’t give the opposition any confidence by giving them the ball through unforced errors.

That's a key thing. Less about the energy and more tightening up on the slightly sloppy play. Not having attacks break down through interception, not giving the opposition cheap chances by underhitting or misdirecting passes around at the back.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Our away form suggests a tactical identity crisis. Last season, a cautious, reactive approach was a masterstroke against the elite talent of the Premier League. However, by clinging to that same philosophy against "workmanlike" opposition in this division, the manager is perhaps overcomplicating the task at hand.

The players appear confused because they are applying a survivalist mindset to games they ought to dominate. Last year, we were the underdogs; this year, we possess the superior quality. By showing these teams too much respect and failing to "go after" them, we effectively neutralise our own technical advantage.

In short, the squad is attempting to solve a straightforward problem with a defensive strategy designed to counteract far better opposition players. To find our rhythm on the road, we must shift from a cautious ethic to one that reflects our status as the better side.

Anything other than a 5-0 win is a massive failure!
