He is one of the worst refs in circulation at the moment. And the bar is low.

So he slides out of Prem circulation and becomes a Championship problem! I'd like to know what has been done to improve his performance. Any further training etc?

We aren't talking grass roots here and it's a case that these well paid officials are making decisions on matches worth in excess of a hundred million quid. The FA, PGMOL etc are a complete joke.

If he hasn't refereed in 2 months (presumably for being crap as posts below suggest), why does he then get a top of the table Championship clash? A dead rubber like Preston v Stoke should be the choice.
