| First defeat of this year for our women today. on 16:05 - Mar 22 with 753 views | Mark | A disappointing performance, but fortunately Portsmouth lost too. I wish we would wear blue shirts rather than those grey ones. It was poor to schedule this match at the City Ground the same time Nottingham Forest men played at Tottenham. | | | |

Forest always looked threatening - girls were not quite on it today. Kind of surprised we made 3 changes from last week though. Sheffield United are a point ahead and still have to play us, Pompey and Durham (also a point ahead of us). Could easily come down to goal difference.

Should be fine - one more point probably does it, can't see Pompey picking up any more points. One more win would definitely do it.

The changes were very surprising indeed.

Agree. I thought Ava Baker played really well against Durham down the right, but you have to try and get Peskett into the team. Just didn't work out today. Still feel confident we'll stay up.

That is not a great run-in for Pompey. I would be surprised if they get 3 pts (one win, they won't get 3 draws). So, then 1 win might be enough for us, though if we finish weakly and on same points, our games in hand could yet deliver us relegation by goal difference. (If we each win 1 game 2-0, and lose the other games 1-0...). But, I think we will get at least 6 points, maybe 7, and stay up in a way that will look fairly comfortable to future students of the league table.
| First defeat of this year for our women today. on 20:02 - Mar 22 with 480 views | armchaircritic59 | Totally outplayed for 90% of the game and chasing shadows, by a team that play football the way I want to see it played and believe that's how it should be played. Constant ball movement, one/two touch passing and lots of player movement. Yes I did watch it all, as my post at the bottom of the match report shows. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| First defeat of this year for our women today. on 21:15 - Mar 22 with 431 views | Plums | First time I've seen our women's team play. We had some neat patterns at times but Forest used the big pitch so much better and we only really seemed to threaten as you say, once the subs came on. When we did get forward, we had so many players behind the ball it was unlikely we'd be able to do much with it in the box. It was good to see the team play and hats off to the fans who were quiet but have a very impressive array of flags! | |

Not really a fair account of the second half, which was pretty even.

Not what I saw, though I'd agree it was a touch better after the players that should have started the match were brought on. That's modern day football for you, rotation for rotations sake. Whose turn is it today? You can tell I'm old school.
