I just read phils story and it seems pretty clear we didnt invite him and i just hope we made him pay for the shirt and tour. Hes a sh1t for doing that to us. I blame him more than the club.

| This Farage sh1t show on 13:23 - Mar 25 with 387 views | Cheltenham_Blue | It doesn't make full sense to me. There is a 'Reform source' saying it was an invite, but, the source has not been revealed. We're run by pretty intelligent people top to bottom, and yet this was allowed to happen, which I find bizarre. There's a report somewhere that the club 'accredited' the Reform media team, from someone who worked in the football media, that's utter bollox, there's no need for official accreditation on a non match day. I wonder if the club knew Nigel was coming, didn't want to turn down the cash, and then whoever was doing the tour, didn't feel they had the authority to say 'No' Nigel and his media team, having worked with this type many times, they simply don't accept 'no' as an answer. | |

There are already hundreds of threads that discuss the thing you wonder, this would only repeat them. It's all out there. I have my opinion, others are fine.

As I said multiple times yesterday, Farage's security team (which is sizeable) would have been involved from early on. His appearance while maybe not known when booked, would have been very clear for the days ahead of the visit.

We didn’t want to turn down the cash?! The cash we got from a stadium tour booking?

Media reports I have sen say that contact was made between "an associate of a senior club figure" was in contact with Reform well before the visit. I'm sure many of us take the club's stance that no-one knew anything about this and that Reform simply booked a stadium tour as a complete whitewash. Town should try to do what any successful politician does in these situations & fess up ASAP, with a sacrificial lamb taking the fall.

Stadium bookings are normally with 18 other people you've never met. Do you think 'man of the people' Nigel was wandering about with Sue from Newmarket or on his own with a significantly jacked up price for a private tour?

It is a minuscule amount of money we're talking about.
