The way the club have dealt with the whole thing, the only people who can and probably will still give wholehearted support are people who were very pro Farage and willing to vote Reform.

Only if you entirely equate the club with Ashton. McKenna, his coaches, the teams, the staff and all the history going back to 1878 had nothing to do with the events of a couple of days ago.
Sure, it takes some of the shine off. The Birmingham game is the first time for several years I will make it to Portman Road for a game (due to circumstances). It will be a bit less enjoyable now. But I'm still going to go.
If nothing else, I don't want to abandon the club to Reform. It belongs to all of us, Reformers and non-Reformers alike. We cannot allow one faction to take over and change what it has always been. |  |

I think that is a very narrow minded view that those who choose to still support the club are pro reform and pro Farage.
I support the club, not Mark Ashton and others who have been involved with the whole unsavoury Farage incident. I won’t let those individuals undermine my love of the club, in fact I think I need to show support for the club, players and manager more than ever if they also feel aggrieved by the whole incident.
Please don’t make sweeping assumptions that those who choose to still show their support are in any way pro reform or what they stand for, you are doing people a disservice. |  | | |

It is more the attitude of the club toward supporters, some of many decades standing , which has thoroughly disgusted me and whilst those responsible for it are still in situ. I’m not much of a political person, I do understand it & once studied it, but realised early on that nothing really changes, it’s just a stupid never ending bun fight between left & right. I don’t hate any of the politicians but I do genuinely believe that our system is broken & I’d rather be voting on issues & not for political characters. So I’m quite bemused with what’s gone on. All a bit silly to be honest. I’ll be carrying on as normal & if anyone wants to give up their seat, then I’ll gratefully accept it. |  | | |

I don’t blame or hold the club accountable, I hold Ashton accountable.
My loyalty and support is for Ipswich Town FC, not Mark Ashton.
The actions of a minority of individuals will not change that.
I supported the club decades before Ashton was involved and will support for decades after he’s gone. Ashton and this whole unpleasant episode will be a disappointing but fleeting moment in this clubs history, I won’t let it define what the club means to me, that’s letting Farage and his supporters win in my opinion by taking something else from me I treasure. | | | |
