Several of my presents today were ITFC related including a new shirt and they were bittersweet to receive. I’ve gone out tonight, got drunk and then come home and read Ashton’s apology….
Bloody hell, what a week, eh? A monumental fk up from someone I respected which seemed to go unacknowledged for far too long, but which has finally seen some acknowledgment that blunders were made.
I’m going to spend the week touching grass now and when Ipswich line up against Birmingham, I will wish them well. For me, personally, the rest of the season is less about winnng promotion and more about getting over the sour feeling of the last few days.
Whichever side of the debate you came down on,whether your views changed or stayed the same, I’m sorry for all of us about what the last few days have engendered. Whether you felt betrayed and angry, or felt the debate was a farce, I know we all wanted the same thing. Harmony at our football club.
