Interestingly it's a time for forgiveness and putting things behind us....

I'm not remotely religious but the idea of second chances/forgiveness does seem to have been lost from society. Did make me pause for thought and at least contemplate whether we should move forward now. Ashton has made a huge mistake. I was very much of the opinion he should step down or be relieved of his duties. However I don't think he can possibly be any clearer of what a monumental mistake he has made. His apology was weak and he did him self no favours. There is no free pass here. His credit has completely gone and he will have to build it back from scratch and show he has learnt from it.

But as I say I feel we are a divided society and everything has to be one side or the other. Personally think sometimes we can reflect and make a decision to go give second chances/forgive/opportunity to make right.

I'm going to put my energy back into supporting the team and the manager for the rest of the season.

When it comes to putting my money into the club after that I'll see what the club are doing and that we have learnt some lessons.

It’s a weekend based on a fictional story.

The Easter bunny is real though.

It does seem to have been forgotten that Farage is the real villain here, yes Ashton has been naive beyond any stretch of the imagination but we should remember that this odious individual has often sidetracked serious politicians with his antics. Politicians with far more nous than Ashton.

So the best outcome we can hope for now is that the owner consortium rapidly source and appoint a reliable Chairman for the club, not a front person such as Matt Holland but a senior businessman with the experience and gravitas to guide a Chief Executive Officer and his close appointees on major strategic issues.

[edit: 'but'inserted in first line, 'know' changed to 'now' in second paragraph.]

I think you've got it wrong on both counts there.

Jury's out on the Easter bunny for me but he's definitely wrong about the first part.

Why would you question that someone was killed, buried and then magically came back to life 3 days later. WTF is wrong with you (apart from being sane of course).

Maybe Jesus didn't die on the cross but was still just about alive, strong young lad with a degree of mental resilience after all. Couple of days being looked after in a cave by three women and he just about manages to stagger out and get noticed a few times on the way home. But after those ordeals you would want a quieter life away from the media spotlight, wouldn't you ?

I've had some massive weekends before but getting so wrecked that you have bowl out of a cave 3 days later is top G behaviour.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

You’d have thought they’d have checked for a pulse before burying him. I suppose we should keep an open mind though. Maybe they were busy and didn’t check, or maybe he really was the son of one of the 20,000 or so gods we’ve dreamed up over the years.

That's the point of faith. It can't be proven or disproven, and never will be on this earth, so it's up to you whether you choose to believe or not.
