Huh. I was just listening to the main news on the radio with about 8 mins left, where they were saying Leeds were on their way to Wembley and West Ham utterly toothless. Footie’s great isn’t it? There’s not many sports where you can be crap for most of the game and end up turning it all around in a few minutes.

Personally, I understand the reasons for leaving a large stadium before the final whistle.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a game early. That’s not a ‘look at me’ though, it’s fine if people do as that’s their choice and they shouldn’t be surprised if they’re not let back in. I just don’t see why you would leave early as everyone knows magic moments can happen at any time. And partly because I’ve never really shed my student years, so I’m going to make sure I get my money’s worth. And if the team suffers with a hammering I’d stay to let them know they’re not alone.
