7 years ago we went there knowing we were down but the support that day was fantastic. Really defiant. Loud and together. The club was in trouble but it brought out the best in supporters.
Drew the game, Jon Nolan goal. Ended up getting Darren Moore the sack!
Now we may go there soon and seal promotion there. Third promotion in four years.
KM is world class. So proud of him.
Let's get it done.
And remember. Never ever ever doubt KM.

Genuinely still baffled as to how Lambert got the weird cult following that he did. Honestly embarrassing some of that 'he just gets it' stuff.
I'm not so surprised. After the sourness of McCarthy's final months, then the weird Hurst interlude, it was nice to see someone who approached the fans with warmth and wasn't completely incompetent (or so we thought at first, on both counts).

Never bought into the Lambert stuff. Thought he was long finished when we appointed him. It would be interesting to see how would have done with the ownership structure we have now though. There is no doubt we were being run in a very poor manner, not fit for purpose.

All the money was long gone by then, tickover at best.
But then getting relegated with barely a whimper, becoming mired in League One, falling out with the fans and local media, eventually seemingly almost giving up - all of that was poor and often unnecessary. The honeymoon didn't last long.

It’s amazing how putting a few quid behind the bar to buy pints for fans and inviting Terry Butcher to the training ground wasn’t enough of a strategy to get us out of L1.

When he was hired first reaction was, "We may as well have kept Hurst".
