Our recruitment for a centre forward has been dreadful this season. If we dont go up that's the reason for me. Who's to blame...KM , Ashton or a combination of both.

Been nowhere near good enough. If you actually watch them, their performances, throughout the season and think as a collective they’ve been anywhere near the level you would want, that is a huge concern.

It's not championship manager. It's real football. Players lose form, lose confidence, have to sacrifice for the team. If we go up, George and Azon will have done their bit.

And if we dont do you suddenly say no they werent good enough. They've been ok. Nothing more than ok which I think is fair to say The goals of jayden and clarke are that big big part of why we are where we are.

I would say both have been good enough to get us to be favourites to go up with 3 to play. However, if both (or even one of them) took twice as many chances as they do, we would be already up.

Lovely touch for the opener to set up Kasey. Hes missed a lot of chances and yes he’s a striker but he’s done more for me in terms of his overall play than Hirst second half of the season. He put in a hell of a shift against Millwall recently we well. Up for the battle and decent enough when he stays on his feet. Our biggest mistake was not get a 9 that’s done it this level before, Azon would have been a nice compliment to that instead of Akpom. Ultimately we’ve shown a little too much faith in Hirst I think. I know he’s got ten goals and some important ones at that but I can’t say I think he’s had a good season in this side. [Post edited 20 Apr 1:59]

Yep think Azon has done ok but just shouldn’t have been the man we were pinning our hopes on. A failure in recruitment in that position overall, across multiple windows now.
| Forward players on 07:05 - Apr 20 with 241 views | jas0999 | Average strikers, who have been inconsistent all season. Azon simply doesn’t score enough. We desperately needed a striker. That was the opinion of most in the summer and January. I’ve not seen anything to change that opinion. We are a top striker light. Clearly Ashton failed to do the deals but allegedly KM didn’t want to pursue the options in January. So both have to be accountable. | | | |
