2 up top 20:17 - Apr 19 with 465 views

Not saying 4 4 2 or anything. But just wondering esp away if we want to get the best from philogene or Clarke... do we need two strikers to occupy the defence and with the likes of davis getting forward that would be two players for defences to worry about whilst allowing jayden or Clarke to use the spaces provided.

I found today at times jayden got the ball but azon didnt really move the defenders out the way on that left side but was doing it really well right side. Hence mcateers goal. So just wondered if even if its not this season now as too late. Would it perhaps be worthwhile next season..

Oh and BTW I do refer to away games. Not saying we should change our style for home ones.

How would that work, if we're going with two up top alongside wingers but not switch a 4-4-2? A back three? Something akin to the weirdness that our post subs line up at Portsmouth?

We'd get completely overrun in midfield playing with just Matusiwa in there.

Our central midfield is absent with two in there for swathes of games - let alone if we reduce to one!

With the ten's struggling at the moment, I'd be more tempted to switch to a 4-3-3, perhaps bringing in Neil or the lesser spotted Cajuste to join Matusiwa and Taylor.

Think our squad is well set up for a midfield 3, Matusiwa holding Taylor and Nunez in front, Cajuste and Neil back up.

If anything we should be adding more men to our midfield not taking away from it.

IF (and it is an if) we go up. I would certainly be sacrificing that number 10 to put another body in midfield or you switch to a three back and play a 352. As for personnel I would expect a brand new midfield next season if promotion is the outcome.
