A group of long term Ipswich fans have come together to launch a campaign group to speak out on football issues that concern us.
As such we have launched a website that can be found here

We also have twitter and bluesky accounts which will be used to signpost further statements and interested posters can also follow those accounts.
We encourage fans aligned to our views to help spread our statement through social media and to register on the site for future updates. You can also contact the group through the email listed on the site.
For clarity, we are not currently seeking to expand to a wider or formal membership, but that may evolve over time if sufficient interest is shown.
To those who do not share our vision or aims, we simply ask that all comments are made in a polite and constructive manner, we are after all, all Ipswich fans.

Chapeau! Well done to all, looks and sounds fantastic. Have you spoken to the foundation to use the platform to raise money. It would be nice for the foundation and our supporters to do something locally, he’d love it, football is community. The riches changes the connection, the values too, we need to be clear about what we want to stand for.
We had more success without the money, although that could change in a couple of games, if we don’t want to be just another soccer brand, we need to celebrate our identity and values, a club built on local connection.
I’m not from Ipswich. If it wasn’t for Bobby, I wouldn’t be a supporter of 50 years, and from the first visit, it was obvious the values and connection helped the club stand apart, a one club catchment, a set of values that connect people globally, and making football the heartbeat of a Town.
Some would sell that. Because it had a value. But they understand the price of things. But not the true value.

At least that wasn't an anonymous, faceless entity which is where I always have reservations with many of these 'campaign groups'.
I've called out 'Tractor Guy' for his anonymity - you can't claim to represent any part of the fanbase if you lack transparency. Any entity that wants to claim to represent fans' views needs to have have a face(s), be contactable, have a clear process for gathering views and how those views are converted into conclusions, actionable activity and fan engagement plans.
Taking a stance as an individual, or small group of 'mates', on a subject and then presenting that as representing fans is just not doing what it claims to do. This thread alone shows there are wildly differing views in the season ticket pricing.
I respect their right to have view on any subject, but as soon as it is presented as representing a broader group, then there needs to be transparency and accountability imo. | | | |

1. You've made two posts, this introduction and the statement on season ticket price rises, but I am immediately concerned that you've failed to respond to any questions about those posts.
2. Who are you? And how many are you. If you are a group of 5 pals, how can you speak for the rest of fans?
3. The fact you all know each other, but are not seeking to expand membership denies other voices and opinions
4. You use the phrases 'we are legacy fans' and 'from long before Game Changer existed'; this terminology is deliberately phrased to exclude more recent fans for example my son, with your refusal to expand membership, and your statement in your 'about us' page to, "be a voice for ordinary legacy/traditional Ipswich fans" - Who speaks for newer fans and why are they excluded from your attempts to 'hold truth to power'?
5. You say "We believe live football should be accessible to all, including those unable to afford hospitality type offers that are increasingly the focus of the club.", why have you included the second part of this statement? What does this mean? Many fans sitting in both the stands around the ground cannot afford hospitality, so what is it you want here?
6. Why are you different to Blue Action or Rainbow Laces? What can you do for all fans better than either of these organisations. Your rhetoric implies your interest is only in 'legacy' fans, so why are you needed above BA or Rainbow Laces for that fan group? Are you suggesting that BA or Rainbow laces are not truly independent and are 'at the behest of the club'
7. "We will not always reach out to every single member of the group for lower-priority issues.", who will decide the priority? Is there an executive committee that will set policy and priorities.
8. Without expanding membership, how will you judge what the 'broad consensus' of the fan base is?
Sorry for the questions, but as yet, you haven't answered any, and If I have an unknown person(s) claiming that they are going to represent me and my thoughts to the club, I'd like to know a bit more about them and that they are actually going to reflect my feelings accurately. |  |
