Could still be useful
If we draw on Saturday, and Millwall also draw ….. I know, big ifs, but possible, then Boro would now have to win by more than 5 to go above us.

What if Boro win by more than 5?

Boro have a very tough game at Wrexham (who need to at least equal the results of Hull & Derby). Whatever way that game goes I cannot see that being a cricket score result.

Millwall are the worry as I’ll be very surprised if they don’t get the win they need.

Although, Oxford have a pretty good record this season against the top 5. Plenty of draws, and even a couple of wins! There is hope they can do us a solid.

Millwall’s game is very much like ours against Huddersfield last season. The only question is do Millwall have the bottle or will their nerves get the better of them.

We are the ones who can't have the jitters now though and if the Exeter and Huddersfield games from 2/3 years ago are anything to go by, McKenna should have them good to beat QPR, but this current team are such a wildcard and we just gift so many silly goals away, like last night. Granted QPR aren't nearly as capable or motivated as Southampton, but we have lost and drawn to some dross this season, which is why we're all concerned ha!

it really isn't.

That Huddersfield team were gone mentally. Oxford as a group are in a better position mentally, they've got more about them than that Huddersfield team who the manager had given up and called people out.

Not saying that Millwall won't beat them, but i don't think Oxford will just roll over.

Personally I'm not sure their game is any different to ours really. QPR have conceded 70 goals this season - second most in the division. They are a very open side which suits us. And they've only lost one less than Oxford this season. We both have games we should win. But wouldn't say one is more difficult than the other really.

Agreed, they will want to end on a high.

Don't forget they have a local ex academy player as Manager who might want us to go up.

Yes. I said this before the game and got some push back on here. A point gives us more rope going into the final day. It's effectively now a two horse race rather than a four horse race.

Yep, and not just that as it's surely better psychologically not to have lost last night. Certainly for the fans!

The reaction at the end from fans and players was one of confidence but with a degree of caution I thought.

Slightly more pressure this time than v Hudders I think. That one we only needed a draw to be sure, and even then only if Leeds won their game by x number of goals. In the end it turned out we could have lost and still gone up.

'Aint going to be so comfy this time round.

Really hoping that a) QPR couldn't give less of a crap and b) Our players are in the same mood they were in last night. Can't rely on Oxford, and 'boro still in the mix too.

This current team has the best defence in the division. Two years ago we had one of the worst!

That's a strange take from this team.
