And quite rightfully. But eventually the work has to start on rebuilding the squad. I think it can be seriously enhanced by the players who fail to go up via the play - offs. But there really does have to be some strength put into the starting 11 , it was our big downfall last time around, it looked like men against boys much of the time. I think overall McKenna is correct, we are better placed for a season in the Premier league, in regard there is nothing to spend on the ground , facilities etc.

I think everyone has said that physicality is the biggest difference when going up.

I imagine we will sign some units from somewhere.

I’d guess probably 8 of the starting lineup will be new come first game.

Agree, to stand any chance at all , it needs to be some something along those lines imo.

I hope we don’t sign as many as eight players. The quality of what we have is better than two seasons ago. But i suspect it will be that kind of number. The defence is ok as is the keeper. Id largely leave that alone. Maybe some competition for the full backs. Midfield, with killed us last time, and a couple of forwards are for me a priority. Quality not quantity! Easier said than done.

I think if we get 8 quality players in ,who are going to play regularly ,that should be enough to see us get off to a good start. Get them in early so they can be incorporated into the team pre - season. In short learn from the mistakes last time.

I think we'll recruit what is needed and people may be surprised. The last promotion was the huge emotional high, this one feels to me like the lift-off from the foundations we set two years ago and I don't think we will be messing about.

Funny how nobody mentions Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch basically doing the heavy lifting for Town’s promotion. Just slipped in, handled it, disappeared again. Club’s still pretending it was a “solid campaign.”
