Aren't we basically Leeds from 2023/24? Except David beat Goliath then whereas, this time, Goliath beat David and that's never a popular result. Plus only we remember the number of bad decisions which went against us. I don't think the lucky outnumbered them when looking at the season as a whole. Derby fans, for example, complain about 13 minutes added on at Portman Road, forgetting they should have been down to 10 and had a penalty awarded against them ten minutes into the second half. So the reaction was always going to be thus as we ruined the perfect storyline. But who cares? The distance this club has come in a short time is still remarkable. | |
