How they come up with the fixture list and I mentioned the fabled fixture computer and he said, "Yeah I bet they just ram it into ChatGPT now"

He's probably right.

Pretty sure they start with last seasons fixtures and just make a few adjustments.

My father was a Deputy Head teacher and used to work out the lesson schedules for the school every summer. He had a big wooden board with grooves representing time-slots and classrooms, into which he would put bits of card with the lessons on them. This was pre- (or very early) home computer days, of course.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

One big consideration is other local games, when are at Town home, Norwich and Colchester are away. Norwich due to policing and Colchester due to using the same stewards, not sure if this still the case with Colchester. Fans travelling on long away trips for an evening kick off's are not a consideration.

If we get the same tough start as our last Prem season I will be convinced it's a fix.

Prepared to bet that Coventry will be at home to a big 6 side, perfect for Saturday midday.

Hopefully we go under the radar, something like Newcastle or Sunderland away. A couple of early fixtures with teams full of world cup players would be ideal.
