Amazing reporting.

If that is true and proven by CCTV then Southampton should be eliminated. No idea what would happen then. Boro reinstated? A play off between Millwall and Boro?

Both squads might be on holiday already. I suspect the league will let the final be played and pray Hull win it to make the decision easy.

With the money involved in being promoted to the Premier League no one would have the guts to disqualify Southampton. They’d be tied up in litigation for years.

Simon Jordan too a far more pragmatic view which seems hard to argue against.

Thank God Simon Jordan has come along to tell us what will happen.
He's effectively saying that Steve Gibson should accept a bribe.

He’s setting out the reality of the situation. Saints are unlikely to be disqualified and any points deductions of fines won’t benefit Boro.

It’s not bribery. Its on Boro’s terms and no different than settling out of court.

It's a settlement.

But I expect Southampton to get a £500k-£1 mil fine. They aren't going to pay Boro silly money.

Southampton would probably settle for £1-2 mil though to get it down and out of the way and avoid a points deduction or something. They are not getting kicked out of the playoffs as funny as it would be.

They should get a fine as a above, manager 3 game dugout ban and a 3 point deduction at the start of the prem. That would be fair.
