As a multi millionaire rather easily I suspect - or got somebody else to pay it. Power and money.

On a completely different tack, Hitler rented a flat in Munich in the early years. He was well known for not paying for anything anyway, but when he got into power, he invited some of the local industrialists over and said ‘how would you like to pay the bills for my flat?’.

There he was and there they were knowing the kind of people he had behind him and the response was ‘yes, yes, we’d really love to. Can’t think of anything we’d rather do! Thank you for the opportunity’. And so it happened. The flat with its corner view is still there, even if Adolf and his cronies are long gone.

That is not a comparison. Just an extreme example of the exercise of power for personal gain.

Well slightly interesting that the two previous payments appear to be specifically for parliamentary activities and that this latest one is specifically not for that purpose, being for the repayment of her personal debt to HMRC, and so best that it takes a different route. Not sure why it had to go to a new company and not to her personally, but I'm not a tax accountant (I guess she has one of those now.) Good to see it all above board and declared though, not that it's like five million from Thailand anyway.
