After some recommendations on decent quality, keenly-priced cotton polo shirts.
I wear them for work, so they tend to get a decent amount of wear throughout the year. At the moment I tend to wear Fat Face, Crew or Joules, depending on which brand has the best sale on at the time of purchase. I managed to grab a bundle of Crew ones for £15 each at one of their outlet stores during the week.

They're nice, but work expects a collar at the very least.
When I'm crawling around in lofts in the middle of summer, I'm just glad I'm not from the era where surveyors were expected to wear a suit and tie, regardless of the rigours of the role! | |

I’d second Matalan. Actually, if you wanted to construct a decent look on a real budget( speaking as someone raised in Modernism where detail is key) , it’s do’able in there! Holiday stuff pretty good. | | | |

All of mine are from there, and they last a long time.
And they can be surprisingly reasonable: these, for example, at only £14.
