Best 'High Street' polo shirts 17:15 - May 15 with 1105 viewsZx1988

After some recommendations on decent quality, keenly-priced cotton polo shirts.

I wear them for work, so they tend to get a decent amount of wear throughout the year. At the moment I tend to wear Fat Face, Crew or Joules, depending on which brand has the best sale on at the time of purchase. I managed to grab a bundle of Crew ones for £15 each at one of their outlet stores during the week.

Any other brands I should be considering at this sort of price level?

Polo shirts? Treat yourself to some Henley shirts, you’ll not be disappointed.

They're nice, but work expects a collar at the very least.

When I'm crawling around in lofts in the middle of summer, I'm just glad I'm not from the era where surveyors were expected to wear a suit and tie, regardless of the rigours of the role!

If that’s the case, Matalan or Primark

I’d second Matalan. Actually, if you wanted to construct a decent look on a real budget( speaking as someone raised in Modernism where detail is key) , it’s do’able in there! Holiday stuff pretty good.

I don't think you can do any better than M&S.

All of mine are from there, and they last a long time.

And they can be surprisingly reasonable: these, for example, at only £14.

Have you looked on Vinted?

Can get some decent stuff very cheap and in a world of fast fashion it helps the planet.

You say high street but I use workwear express for my work polos, they do many different brands and if there’s a deal on are under £15 :o)

Maybe it's just a sign that I'm old and rather boring.

Actually, I have used M&S for many years. It's surprisingly cheap and the clothes last a long time: there's also the old saying "buy cheap, buy twice".

I have also never liked logos on my clothes, and I find I can get the Rishi Sunak casual look at a fraction of the price.

I use various different suppliers for polo shirts, either plain or customised with personalised/company branding, they can be a decent quality, with many different brands.

Off there next month (jet fuel permitting...).

Done the whole knock-off football shirt thing before, and some leather goods, but never the fashion items. Do they tend to be decent quality?
