| I don’t know much about the depth of the German league but 01:50 - May 17 with 1540 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Harry Kane has scored 58 goals in all competitions this year, FIFTY EIGHT. Arguably the best striker in the world right now, let’s hope he continues all summer. [Post edited 17 May 1:57]

Kane is fantastic don’t get me wrong but it is a “farmer’s league” I believe the phrase is .. France,Spain and Italy are too at differing levels.France being most similar.

Yeah I figured that was part the reason and even the half decent other sides sold half their team to Sunderland ;) Still he’s a proper striker, a dying breed and scored some unreal goals in the CL as well this year. Maybe two chances left to win something for his country. (Crosses fingers) [Post edited 17 May 2:18]

As someone who watches the Bundesliga a lot, I would say that’s a little harsh. The Farmers League tag is a lazy one and can be attached to a lot of other countries. You’re right to say it’s not been a vintage year for competition in the Bundesliga. Dortmund were inconsistent at the start, Leipzig began well but faded and Leverkusen have underachieved all season. But you also have to factor in how much better Bayern have become. The signings of Diaz and in particular Olise have taken them to a new level. And that’s massively benefited Kane. The thing with Kane is he’s now so good as an all-round player, he could operate as a 6, 8, 10 or 9. Even if you don’t rate the Bundesliga, he scored 14 goals in the Champions League.
