Likely dates for new signings 15:26 - May 21 with 1164 viewsC_Jam_Blue

Here's the dates of signing announcements over the past 2 seasons. On this basis we should expect 4 - 5 signings in July, a couple mid-August and 3 - 4 round deadline day. I'll stop thinking about it for a while now. I do wonder if the World Cup will push everything back by a week or two as well.

Darnell Furlong — 28 August 2025
Ivan Azón — 28 August 2025
Marcelino Núñez — 29 August 2025
Sindre Walle Egeli — 29 August 2025

Omari Hutchinson (permanent deal) — 30 June 2024
Ben Johnson — 1 July 2024
Jacob Greaves — 12 July 2024
Liam Delap — 13 July 2024

For me, I dont see why any deal ( made by any club ) should be pushed back for any player not involved at the World Cup and that is one hell of a lot. If involved there, then yes maybe, though most of the work is done by the agent, though the player of course would need to be free to sign any potential contract, which may depend on how far his team goes in the competition.

Interesting that half of the signings both seasons were on the last 2 weeks of the window.
It might be a long wait again. Much as we all want them in the door.

Is Philogene an outlier at January 15, 2025?

Have you ever bought or sold a house, and experienced the impact of ‘chains’?

If so, you will know why the transaction of any number of player transactions could be impacted by the World Cup.

Honestly , world cup or no world cup, we need players through the door, much, much earlier than in previous seasons. In my opinion 5 or 6 players in the first few weeks. Trying to bed in players when the season has started is incredibly difficult , made harder next season because of an extended international break.
