| Make it so on 16:59 - May 20 with 3474 views | LandOfMickyStockwell | It all depends on how and when Southampton were expelled. After letting the semi-final complete, to me, it seems Southampton were expelled at the final. Meaning no way back in for either of the losing semi-finalists. The best way for Boro to have protected their claim was to hold up the leg they felt so disadvantaged in. Instead Boro played it, hoping to win but built a case for Southampton to be expelled if they lost it. Cake and eating it. So glad we're up! | | | |

That would surely be the best outcome for us. Albeit of course that is almost never going to happen

They had 210 minutes to do that.

I guess the argument is, would they have won if Southampton hadn't of cheated? I don't think so but it's impossible to say, which is the issue.

| Make it so on 17:18 - May 20 with 3239 views | Cheltenham_Blue | If we are sending Hull straight up, surely we should just cancel the playoffs and give it to Millwall for finishing 3rd? This could go on for months. | |

Someone from Wrexham was saying they should re-run the play-offs in their entirety with Wrexham replacing Southampton! Next up someone will be along to say the entire season should be annulled.
| Make it so on 17:33 - May 20 with 3084 views | gosblue | Anything other than a Hull win will seem unfair. So for that reason alone I'll be routing for Hull at the weekend. | | | |

that would suit wolves and man city! if soton are rewarded for their cheating and reinstated, leicester will be saying blackburn should be relegated in their place! "they had 46 games to get more points than us"...

The inept spy was caught very quickly and had Boro managed to put the ball in the back of the net, something which plagued them for the final months of the season, they would have put the game out of Southampton's reach in the first half. I think Southampton should be punished. I don't think that Boro should be rewarded. [Post edited 20 May 17:37]

90 mins of which forms part of the trial. If Boro are being expelled for cheating against them in a play off fixture, then Boro should be reinstated. This fixture is what its all about.

Even Millwall might have a case. It's not there fault they didn't play a team that cheated. So boro have benefit from finishing 5th and playing a team they essentially couldn't lose to yet Millwall had a obsticle in their way to the final even though they finished higher.

It's lucky in that respect for Boro, but Millwall got knocked out fair and square, they can't have any cause for complaint.
