This 'non event' has helped raise £8m so far today, for children in war-torn lands, disease-stricken lands with scant access to vaccines, and lots of other amazing initiatives.

It’s a fine spectacle but it makes fck all for unicef in truth. In net terms. I know people who work on it, it costs an awful lot to put together. It does raise the profile and there’s a lot of value in that, I guess.

Maybe just forget the TWTD political posturing, and appreciate the fact that charities have to find numerous ways to engage the public, and this clearly works to raise decent amounts of money.
This thread was just a few people discussing the match light-heartedly. It didn't need to be trolled or reverted into a politically postured conversation.
