I seem to remember Kieran Dyer talking about a charity match or such like where Frans Thijssen totally skinned him at 50+ years old, just dropped his shoulder and left Dyer for dead. Class is permanent!

Unnecessarily negative, tbf. This 'non event' has helped raise £8m so far today, for children in war-torn lands, disease-stricken lands with scant access to vaccines, and lots of other amazing initiatives. It is raising awareness, and is a fun match, with some old greats playing with celebs.

Yeah I’m fine thanks Hugo. You ok? It’s a fine spectacle but it makes fck all for unicef in truth. In net terms. I know people who work on it, it costs an awful lot to put together. It does raise the profile and there’s a lot of value in that, I guess. Funny the bantz boys supporting this that also support the behaviours that result in unicef being so necessary in the first place. [Post edited 31 May 20:20]

Just a bit weird someone finding it funny to throw shade at an event which does so much good. People are strange, as Jim Morrison (also strange) once sung.

Maybe just forget the TWTD political posturing, and appreciate the fact that charities have to find numerous ways to engage the public, and this clearly works to raise decent amounts of money. This thread was just a few people discussing the match light-heartedly. It didn't need to be trolled or reverted into a politically postured conversation. Just my opinion. Enjoy your evening though.
