Whether you like it or not, singing a National Anthem that is all about the monarch has to be seen as political for many people.
I have sung it once, at Monza on the Saturday of Italian GP weekend after a Brit won the GP2 race.

I think it might have been Jasper Carrot or Billy Connolly that suggested an anthem to the tune of the Archers. Works for me.

Yes and I’d sing Queen on purpose as I’m not a fan of the King.

I object to beseeching an entity which doesn't exist to preserve an institution which shouldn't exist.
