Look, I think Ashton should have been chased with pitch forks from our club after inviting a quasi fascist for lunch, lying about it and his pathetic non-apology,
but I don’t think that it’s right to speculate that Ashton is the cause of McKenna leaving.

I don't think it was a split of the moment decision, MA would probably have known the McK was going at the end of the season, probably after promotion but the club kept it under wraps.
Not sure of the real reason though, plenty of rumours flying around - was McK just exhausted after the gruelling season? Did McK have a look at the budget, recruitment etc for next season and felt it wasn't enough to stay up and quit because he didn't want 2 relegations on his CV? Or did he fall out with Ashton and his management style/Faragegate? |
