| So are we all hoping it's Knutsen? (n/t) on 09:10 - Jun 14 by tractorboy1978 | Don’t know about that. He did a decent job at Brondby. Took them over at a difficult time and stabilised them. He’s a great player developer, man manager and I think he would do very well in the set up here. It would be considered a coup by most in the football world if we got him here but it won’t happen. |
Agreed if he was available he would be ideal but sounds like he is waiting for later in the season. I quite like the idea of OGS as like KM he seems a good leader and always speaks well. Knutsen looks good on paper but wonder if it’s a step too far for him and the club to make the transition in this most important season?

So nothing then? Players loving their manager is nothing new or unique. You're so blinded by your love of McKenna over the club you're still talking nonsense it seems. Especially when you're citing players who largely wouldn't be good enough to establish us in the Prem. Try being logical and looking beyond McKenna I guess.

He is so star struck over McKenna, he doesn’t think straight.

I can't see it, they want someone in asap. That would just muddy things for much of the summer when they'll want to push forward with plans, signings etc.

Managers like KM are very rare. Probably once or twice in a generation. The club will carry on and the new manager needs to be given everyone's support. I hope we're bold.

Nope, just clear it's not possible to 'get an upgrade' on KM. Kind of sad that language was even used tbh!

| So are we all hoping it's Knutsen? (n/t) on 13:21 - Jun 13 by baxterbasics | The list of managers who: a) have PL experience b) are looking for work or willing to leave for Ipswich c) are half decent Is pretty small, no? |
If you replace premier league with, top flight, elite level. It’s actually vast, hundreds of elite world class managers/coached that would walk over broken glass. Like Wolves and Forest with Pereira. He’s won titles and trophies in Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Germany, China, Brazil and Saudi!! They exist. And joining even a relegation threatened team, among the best 20 teams, in the best league in the world is a simple and easy sell. The status and profile of you succeed is even bigger than the Pereira trophy cabinet. BUT you need the skill, the networks, the belief, and the executive functions to make those deals work.., you have to know where they are and have a through talent ID that has global reach. Even now. Wolves have it, Forest have it, we don’t. We have an EFL executive function with an EFL reach and mindset. That’s our ceiling if we aren’t careful.., Knutson would change that, he’d drag us towards thinking and believing bigger. It’s possible. With our status, it should be a huge pool, of huge talent, much better than even McKenna, levels above.., that the actually reality, see also Bournemouth, Sunderland, Brighton.., international reach at this level is the minimum requirement. EFL is three levels below what’s required. It’s time to adult and pull up the big boy pants - what’s worked before fails in this context, in this pantheon. We need to think big, sell big, and believe big. Anything’s possible.
