This weekend has seen much better football than the start of any World Cup I can remember. In the first few days of the last tournament it threw up these results. Qatar 0 - 2 Ecuador England 5 - 1 Iran Mexico 0 - Poland 0 Morocco 0 - Croatia 0 Denmark 0 - 0 Tunisia France 4 - Australia 1 |
You have just made my point - France, Croatia, Morocco were semi finalists, England Quarter finalists. We got to watch decent teams. These first seven games have to be the weakest 14 in history to start with. Think your rather desperate for some reason to say the World Cup is quality so far..it’s looking up a little today Tbf with Germany, Netherlands and Japan.

You’re making yourself look foolish. You’re saying we are watching awful football but then cite a semi finalists last time drawing 0-0 as proving your point because some of the big teams played in the first two days. You do know all the top ranked teams are still playing in this World Cup? Stop crying that it’s in America and either turn off rather than lying that all the games have been poor when it’s been good. If you think the US population isn’t behind their team or into that tournament that’s just ignorance as well.

Nope watching awful football teams for the first 7 games. Unless Haiti, Qatar, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, Scotland, Australia, USA, Paraguay , Bosnia get your juices flowing ? Come on fella, you’re sounding desperate ! Next you will be promoting SPL league 2 as Clyde drew 2-2 with Spartans and there was a sending off lol

At least back up your bias with facts. Lower ranked teams can still play interesting games and get a shock result. And yes I personally enjoy a festival of football with fans enjoying themselves that haven’t been there in forever. Interesting you’re citing counties that often qualify for tournaments as well. Switzerland have got to the QFs of the last two Euros, USA have got out of their group last time and look a good side.I really don’t know what point you’re making when the games have overall been enjoyable. I’m sorry you haven’t seen the favorites smash teams or had the luxury of a 0-0 draw yet. I’m sure it’s coming. [Post edited 14 Jun 16:43]

Have you actually watched? Both the USA & Australia were excellent. And I think the majority of us are pleased Scotland are there too, if only because they're our next door neighbours, after an absence of 28 years, & for their singing & for Hirsty.

He’s just spouting nonsense tbh Cites the US and Switzerland anf equates to Scottish league 2. The US alone have starters for; AC Milan Monaco PSV Leverkusen Juve Villarreal Palace Bournemouth Fulham

It's obvious which side has more quality but Curaçao haven't exactly parked the bus. As for the tournament so far, I haven't seen much to make me go "wow" so far but the football has been quite watchable when compared to the club season just gone.
