It’s not the US equipment, the broadcast quality for other US sports is excellent. It is likely to be how ITV and BBC are handling the feeds. Very much a step down from the quality of Sky sports Ultra HD. |  | | |

Each to their own re. "Ref Cam" but I'm with the commentator who said something like, "Games companies have spent years making video games look like real football, now TV companies are making football look like a video game."

I think ref cam is really interesting. For years we’ve seen replays where refs get decisions wrong and the biggest complaint is that the ref had a clear line of vision so how did he get it wrong? Yet in reality it’s nothing like that. |  |

The problem is ref cam doesn't show what the ref sees, it cant its just a single 2d image from a fixed position aside his head. With no depth of field or peripheral vision.
