Wonder where this leaves Pert & someone like Turnbull with these 2 supposedly coming in with O’Neill? I like the appointment anyway.

As Mckenna coaches who will follow him when he gets his next job.

I imagine they all go bar Stanislas and Gilmartin.

If my will depended on it I'd go for the trusted firm of Turnbull and Pert rather than the newcomers in town, Jenkins & Critchley

I guess O'Neil knows Stanislas already from Bournemouth.

It is worth spending time looking at Tim Jenkins and Neil Critchley, i keep banging on about it but the team around the lead coach or manager is critical since they carry and translate the message in training and have most of the contact time in fine tuning with players. I know KMck was a bit different as he was a coach and developer first and manager second, not sure about GON, he is young and i would assume he likes to be on the training pitch more often than not too. Look at past coaches that had a hard time and see how flimsy their coaching support was, Cook is the most recent example, but look at KMck and how it changed with people going like 6:1 players to coach.

Neil Critchley
He's been a manager in his own right and worked with GON only recently at Strasbourg, he has experience from Liverpool with academy squads

Tim Jenkins
He’s worked with GON everywhere. He has the Liverpool academy background.

Pert and Co probably part of KM's next move, so it's sensible not to be over reliant on the..

Will they get a nice payout because McKenna decided to stand down?
